# Agents Overview

> Choose between Flast Lite and Flast Max for different capabilities.

Agents determine which AI capabilities power your conversations. Flast offers two agents optimized for different use cases and plans.

## What Are Agents?

Agents are different AI configurations that affect:

* **Reasoning depth**: How thoroughly problems are analyzed
* **Response quality**: The sophistication of answers
* **Tool access**: Which creative tools are available
* **Speed**: How quickly responses generate

## Available Agents

### Flast Lite

The default agent for Starter plan users. Designed for everyday tasks and quick responses.

**Best for:**

* General conversations
* Quick questions
* Basic writing tasks
* Standard productivity

**Capabilities:**

* Fast response times
* Web search
* Memory and todos
* Artifacts
* Intense thinking mode

### Flast Max

The advanced agent for Pro and Ultra plan users. Optimized for complex tasks and professional work.

**Best for:**

* Complex analysis
* Professional writing
* Creative projects
* Technical tasks
* Multi-step reasoning

**Capabilities:**

* Enhanced reasoning
* All Flast Lite features
* Image generation (Pro+)
* Audio generation (Pro+)
* Image editing (Pro+)
* Video generation (Ultra)

## Switching Agents

To change your agent:

1. Open any chat or start a new one
2. Click the agent selector in the chat header
3. Choose your preferred agent
4. Your selection applies to the current chat
