# Bookmarks

> Save important messages for quick access.

Bookmarks let you save specific messages from your conversations. Mark important responses, instructions, or information you want to find again quickly.

## Creating Bookmarks

To bookmark a message:

1. Hover over the message you want to save
2. Click the bookmark icon
3. The message is saved to your Bookmarks

## Accessing Bookmarks

Find your bookmarks in the sidebar. They are organized by:

* **Date saved**: When you bookmarked it
* **Conversation**: Which chat it came from

### Quick Reference

Jump back to important information without searching through conversations.

### Knowledge Base

Build a personal collection of useful responses and instructions.

### Research Collection

Gather related information from multiple conversations.

## Managing Bookmarks

### Remove

Click the bookmark icon again to remove a saved message.

### Search

Find specific bookmarks by searching their content.

### Filter

View bookmarks from specific time periods or conversations.

## What to Bookmark

Consider bookmarking:

* **Useful explanations**: Complex topics explained well
* **Code snippets**: Helpful code you might reuse
* **Instructions**: Step-by-step guides
* **Important decisions**: Key conclusions from discussions
* **Research findings**: Information you gathered

## Tips

### Be Selective

Bookmark truly important content, not everything. Too many bookmarks reduce their value.

### Review Periodically

Clean up bookmarks that are no longer relevant.

### Use with Memory

For information you need in every conversation, consider adding it to Memory instead of just bookmarking.
